First, congratulations to me. I've got a story in an anthology that hit the market today, I believe, out in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Right about now, my colleagues are drinking, laughing, whooping it up, signing copies of the

anthology, slices of flesh. Well, maybe not drinking and whooping too much.

Lest you think I'm shilling for this thing, slices of flesh, I am.

About that, though, nobody is making any money on it.

None of the writers anyway.

After expenses, profits from slices of flesh are going to some organizations that are near and dear to all writer's hearts.

Literacy is a thing that needs aid. I want people to be able to read. It's a grand thing that you come here to listen

to others read to you, but face it, it's also good when you go home, curl up, and scare

yourself to sleep with a good creepy book of forgotten lore. It's also good personally, and

for the betterment of our race, when information can find its way into your brain by means other than through overproduced multimedia assaults on your central nervous system.
