On a more personal note, I had the absolute pleasure of spending last weekend in Victoria, British Columbia.

It's a beautiful spot this time of year, full of lush gardens and floating cherry blossoms. But, unsurprisingly, probably my

favorite part of our whole trip were the late-night walks around downtown and the Esquimalt

As one of the oldest cities in western Canada, downtown Victoria is full of history,

and that means hauntings, too.

From the former jailhouse and gallows that still houses many of the dead below its foundation,

to the ghosts of North America's second oldest Chinatown, after San Francisco, to the specters of the Empress Hotel and Parliament

buildings. We had some incredibly memorable and a few creepy experiences.

The strangest thing we experienced was during a 2 a.m. walk out on a public dock.
