Well, that most malevolent month is nearly upon us. I kind of love the crispness of the season,

especially at the start of October. The days are decently warm still, but that cool breeze sends shivers down my spine every time the sun dips below the horizon. There's a certain smell in the air in October, too,

and it hits me hard in the nostalgia.

Autumn's been my favorite season, and October my favorite month,

for as long as I can remember.

Halloween aside, it just seems to ooze creepiness.

I love evening walks in October especially.

The shadows are longer.

Empty buildings seem a little more occupied.

Until you stop and listen, and they're gone.
