This is Tales to Terrify. Good evening, children of the night, and happy April 1st.

As the new month dawns, I wanted to warn you, I mean, excite and inform you,

that we have a new flash fiction contest on its way. In order to provide as much advance notice as possible, I'll be putting the word out on the show throughout the month of April.

So you've got the chance to sharpen your quills and put pens to paper, or fingers to keys.

Then the contest will open its wide, toothy maw on May 1st.

And by then, I dearly hope you'll have something delicious to feed it.

This time around, we don't have an image to inspire you, but rather a theme.

Nautical horror.

For those of you who have been listening for a while, you know it's a

subgenre with a very special place in Seth's barnacle-crusted heart. So, we figured the more

advanced warning we can give, the tastier the morsels you output should surely be.

I'll share more details with you in the coming weeks, but if aquatic inspiration strikes,

under 2,000 words, by all means, get writing.
