This is Tales to Terrify. Good evening, children of the night, and welcome.

It's that time of year again.

In just a couple of weeks, Tales to Terrify will once again be open for submissions.

As a refresher, we're on the hunt for the most nightmare-inducing stories you can craft under 10,000 words.

Dark and devilish tales to leave an indelible black mark on any ears fortunate enough to hear them.

Of course, that said, we do still like to keep it somewhat classy around these parts.

We're not into torture porn or excessive gore.

We're not into the same old tired tropes, and we definitely don't publish anything born from hate, prejudice, or intolerance, gender, race, culture,

or otherwise. What we do want are unique, dark works of literary horror fiction.

Whether you're a seasoned author or budding talent,

we want the deepest shadows you can conjure.

Show us what unique twists you can weave into classic themes.

Give us a taste of fresh darkness that's yet to see the light of day.

Scare us, disturb us, and chill us to the bone.
