Well, it's that time of year again, for those listeners in the Northern Hemisphere, at least.

With Labor Day behind us, and the school year officially begun, that brings its own unique set of horrors.

For most of us, quote-unquote, adults, that means waiting through morning traffic,

getting back into the grind after a few months of long patio lunches, early Fridays,

and days off enjoying your favorite summer retreat.

But don't worry, while your summer road trips might be fading into memory,

we've got plenty more stops along our own journey, even if they are decidedly less sunny.

This week finds us in the state of Massachusetts. More specifically, the city of Gardner.

Turning on to West Broadway, there's one house that immediately stands out from the rest. As we pull up to

the curb in park, there's no question what kind of a visit we're here for.

The old Victorian architecture, complete with dormers and turret, give the mansion a quintessential

haunted house look. But standing on the sidewalk, looking up at it, that feeling of foreboding

runs deeper than just its appearance.

It makes your chest feel a little tight, and your mouth feel a little drier.

There's an energy from the house, an energy that raises goosebumps on your skin,

and causes the hairs on your neck to prickle.
