inviting place to stay. The crooked sign in the parking lot commands no guests, while the crumbling

outline of what was clearly a pool at some point, and now filled in with concrete, is a bit of

a ghostly reminder that this place has seen better times.

And sure, even at first glance, it's clearly not the kind of place you'd want to spend a family

vacation. But for those on a budget, the Capri's proximity to downtown Kansas City can be

pretty hard to beat. So, when a man checked into the Capri Motel near
