Good evening, children of the night. A few weeks ago, I had mentioned Stephen Soderberg's

Unsane. I did get a chance to watch it, and I overall enjoyed it. I did mention to you my

skepticism about the film being shot entirely on the camera of an iPhone. I had thought that it would be an artistic constraint that would be either a pretentious choice

or maybe just a choice that might bring a few more ticket purchases in for the novelty of it.

I think that my mind has changed on that.

The absence of a high-quality Hollywood camera does lend to a strange

feeling to the film that adds to the display of the unfolding of the plot. I also did enjoy the

confirmation that anyone can make a good movie with what they have. The film isn't perfect.

The two complaints I have, well, the first is perhaps minor, and that's the title.

I think that the name, Unsane, is worth an eye roll.
