Did you see the trailer for the It remake?

I'm pretty sure you have.

If you're listening to a horror podcast, I'm going to bet that It is a movie that's up there with the shining for favorites for you.

I saw the trailer and didn't find myself thinking,

I'm pretty happy that this is getting remade since the old one isn't that good.

So I'm skeptical about this one.

But there were a few moments in it, and I found pretty cool.

The carousel projector scene in the trailer was pretty creepy.

I do remember the first time that I saw the original movie, and if you'll indulge me for a moment, I was just old enough to know how to deliver

moderately quality lies to adults to get my way. My parents had dropped their kids off with an aunt

and an uncle staying on the shore of Lake Erie, and they went off to Jamaica

for a week. One evening, I saw that the movie would be on TV, and I explained my intent to watch

at which my uncle immediately put a stop to, since a kid that was probably 10 or 11 at the time,

was far too young for that movie.
