1:05.9	Just this past weekend, I attended the Lost Weekend Film Festival at the Alamo Draft House in Winchester right here in Virginia.
1:14.9	Our favorite genre made a few appearances, and I think that I'll have a few things to share about the two or three films that were made to scare.
1:29.0	Before I talk about the first one, I have to give a bit of a shout out to the In the Mouth of Dorkness podcast who set up shop at the festival and spent time sharing their thoughts on movies and interviewing attendees.
1:34.6	If you're curious about any of the films beyond the handful that I'll talk about in the next couple of episodes,

1:42.1	The first of the movies that I'll mention was The Black Coats' Daughter.
1:44.0	It's about a demonic possession. And Catholics. I don't know if you
1:46.6	can really have one without the other. A movie about someone being possessed by the devil and then
1:51.4	Protestants dealing with it? No, thank you. But this film has a Catholic boarding school for girls,
1:57.0	which strikes me as a surefire recipe for all sorts of trouble. And this story features a pregnancy scare and, as I mentioned before, the devil.
2:05.3	The pacing is slow, the body count is low, and it does a pretty good job of building a sense of dread and tension.
2:12.2	At the film festival, it was one of the divisive movies, where either you liked it or you really didn't.
2:18.2	I enjoyed it, but I'll agree it's not a perfect movie.
2:21.7	I would encourage you to check this one out if you can get your hands on it.
