Speaking of changes, I've been keeping you up to date on my thoughts on some of last year's horror novels.

I've taken a break from reading horror novels for a book or two, just to mix it up. I'm about to start Charles J. Sykes'

Fail You. After reading an interview with the author advice, I thought that a book that is critical

of higher education would be interesting, considering that I work for two different schools.

However, on the topic of horror, I recently intended a film festival that showed, by my count, three horror films.

I'll briefly mention each of them this week and the next two.

The first film was a film coming out of Korea called The Whaling,

and that's wailing as in an uncontrollable cry of sadness,

not the kind with boats and harpoons.
