I was just checking my Edgar Allan Poe day planner and see that I was off by a couple days with the Hugos. They're being announced in two days, not whatever I said last week. So I jumped the gun a bit with that. I'd like to give a special thanks to Dr. Amy H.

Sturgis for being available to accept the Hugo Award on our behalf. So should we be the recipient of

the award, she'll be the one that narrates our acceptance speech, just like she has narrated

stories for us in the past.

Many of the first dozen episodes of our podcast included stories narrated by Dr. Sturgis.

Thank you. Amy, should you grace the stage of the ceremony or not, we appreciate you being there

on behalf of Tales to Terrify. In the meantime, I'm about a third of the way through Gary Wood's abomination,

and so far it's a solid historic horror.

I'd give you my thoughts once I've got all the way through it,

but it reminded me of something else that I wouldn't mind giving a shout out to.

A few years ago, someone recommended to me J.P. Moore's Toothless, which is also historical horror.

It was available from pottero books.com and still is. It's 24 chapters that you can listen to for free,

and the print or ebook will cost you a few bucks.

I really enjoyed it.
