0:57.9	I had just spent a week on the ILD Orleans.
1:01.1	That's an island just outside of Quebec City and had a wonderful time.
1:05.1	It rained pretty heavy a few days, and I got quite a bit of reading done.
1:09.5	I do have to admit that most of it was from
1:12.3	Tony's turf, sci-fi, James S.A. Corey and some John Scalzy, but I did finish reading The Slade
1:19.1	House. It's been quite a popular book, and I think that it was quite a good read in our genre.
1:25.6	I do have to admit that the first section was a little iffy for me.
1:28.7	You see, the book changes character perspective a few times during its course.
1:32.9	I didn't know that in the first character as a child.
1:35.3	It's a personal dislike of mine.
1:37.3	In fact, speaking of John Scousey, I gave up on Zoe's tale in the first chapter because
1:43.3	he did, I felt, a perfect job of giving
1:46.1	the perspective of a teenager. However, David Mitchell did a good enough job of explaining to me that
1:51.7	this child had some sort of damage that kept me going. The book is subtle and horrific. It's a fun and
1:57.6	fast read that has a few twists and devilish turns.
