I've been working through the 2015 Goodreads Best Horror Nominees.

Sarah Lotz's Day 4 was pretty good.

Wish I knew that there was a sequel before I started it.

I prefer to go into movies and books pretty much blind, so that one was on me.

Christina Henry's Alice was a treat.

If you think Lewis Carroll reads like a strange trip down the psychedelic rabbit hole,

Christina Henry takes you on a bad, violent, twisted trip.

I'm reading Seth Graham Smith, The Last American Vampire,

got about a quarter of the way into the book, enjoying it the whole way,

and then found out it's the sequel to Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter,

which I skipped because I judged the book by its cover and thought it sounded stupid.

Graham Smith can put words together quite well.

I think I'll read Nick Cutters the Deep Next, his The Troop was a real good read.

But I've actually digressed.

Did I ever mention to you that I really liked watching Monster Vision with Joe Bob

Briggs on TNT and Up All Night with Rhonda on USA back in the 90s? They usually aired pretty

bad monster movies or horror films. Not always bad, but I think that there were more misses than hits.
