Welcome to Tales to Terrify. Good evening, Children of the Night, as teased last week, this will be the first of our three Stoker episodes.

For those of you coming to tales to terrify a little later than others,

every year our friends at the Horror Writers Association put on the Bram Stoker Awards,

and we focus in on the finalist for the category of superior achievement

and short fiction.

That would be our format.

This year, there were five finalists, and we will be hearing three of the stories here

on Tales to Terrify.

The first one this evening and the other two over the next two weeks.

The five finalist, Cat Jones' All Day, You'll Have Good Luck,

from Black Static number 47.

John Palisano's Happy Joe's Restop,

included in 18 Wheels of Horror from big-time books.

Gene O'Neill's The Algernon Effect from White Noise Press.

Damian, Angelica Walters, Sing Me Your Scars, included in

Sing Me Your Scars from Apex Publications, and Alyssa Wong's hungry daughters of starving

mothers from Nightmare magazine, number 37.

The two that will be missing will be Kate Jones and John Palisano's stories, but please go find them, read them.
