I am Stephen Kilpatrick, and I am happy to invite you into our cabin, deep in the woods of the Shenandoah for a special episode of Tales to Terrify.

We'll be sharing with you the two winning stories for the Stoker Award for superior achievement and short fiction.

We'll have you a little bit longer this evening than usual,

but not by much, so settle in. First up, Rina Mason is the Bram Stoker Award-winning author

of the Evolutionist and East End Girls, as well as a 2014 Stage 32 slash the blood list presents.

A longtime fan of horror, sci-fi, science, history, historical fiction, mysteries, and thrillers.

She began writing to mash up those genres and stories revolving around everyday life.

She is a member of the Horror Writers Association,

mystery writers of America, international thrillers writers,

the International Screenwriters Association,

Stage 32, as well as Inc. Tip.

She writes a column for the HWA monthly newsletter, recently born of horrific

minds, and writes occasional articles. She also does volunteer work for the Horror Writer Association

and event planning. An avid scuba diver, since 1988, she has traveled the world and enjoys incorporating the experiences into her stories.

She currently resides in Reno, Nevada, with her family.
