I'll give it two thumbs up.

I've heard some reviewers make some comparison to Lord of the Flies dipped in the horror genre,

and I think that's accurate.

What makes the book good for me is that the characters all feel realistic,

and more importantly, the terrible, terrible things that happened to that

Boy Scout troop are all very much believable. Had I read the story on the BBC or Al Jazeera,

for example, I'd probably have believed it in its entirety. At no point did I have to suspend

my disbelief for the horrible things that transpire in this story.
