The Black-Eyed Kids

She shared her experience on the

forum Quora. I don't answer my door pretty much ever and most of my neighbors are

under the impression that I'm profoundly deaf. I just ignored people long enough that

they think I'm totally deaf. It's important to the story.

When the knocking started, I didn't even go look,

but then it started moving around the house toward the windows of the room I was in.

By the time I could see them, I was terrified, and I'm not an easy scare.

I was convinced they were going to get me.

I picked up my mobile.

We don't have landlines out here.

I'm on the side of a mountain.

To call the police, and no calls would go through.

I ended up hiding in a closet, but I could still hear them for almost an hour.

What was really weird was that they were saying,

we know you can hear. I was so freaked out, I eventually got my pistol out and decided to run to my closest neighbor, to have them called the police. When I opened the door to leave, they were walking up

the driveway, backwards, taking these big strides while still looking at me.

In 2007, Diane Bailey was in her 20s when she was working in an office on her own.
