Summary

Is there something out there? It’s a question that lurks in the back of my mind. Probably in yours too. It’s one of the very reasons why I love the outdoors: the unpredictability. Over the years, I’ve collected experiences. Moments, like bits of data, that, collectively guide my intuition. And yet. We’ve all had that moment where hairs stand up on the back of our neck. Was it heightened perception? Or did the wind just blow in just the right way? And if you convince yourself it was the wind, does some lump of doubt sit in your stomach? 1:10.0	We've covered tens of thousands of feet of climbing over like eight mile ridge.
1:15.0	And now the six mile hike back to camp.
1:17.0	We're both exhausted.
1:19.0	And we're hiking up this hill.
1:21.0	You can't see that far.
1:23.0	Not only because it's dark, but it's also been really smoky.
1:26.0	So this is haze that's just kind of covering the entire forest.
