This episode is going to bring you back to the 1840s and looks at what life was like during

the Great Famine in the neighborhood where I live in Dublin.

I headed out with a microphone and recorded most of this episode in the site where these events took place.

As much as possible I've also used a count from the time so it's a pretty different show.

The podcast looks at how various people reacted, survived and suffered in this small corner of Dublin

during what was one of the most important events in Irish history.

These include everyone from the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland to a 13 year old girl imprisoned for a week for not paying a train ticket. It's all ahead of us. In recent episodes of the show,
