| 0:07.0 | Skyjacks. Long ago, when the stars shone in greater number than any could hope to count, |
| 0:20.8 | the seasons came in sequence, and the sea was tame. The people of Spear divided the earth into things called nations. |

| 1:32.9 | Their sailors found they could make safe passage if they made sacrifices. |

| 1:43.0 | At first, the nation shrunk, but continued to survive. |
| 1:46.5 | They happily paid the sea's price to move their power by water. |
| 1:51.0 | But slowly those sacrifices grew. |
| 1:54.0 | Over many years, sailors started to change. |
| 1:57.4 | They brought more than goods and fish to shore. |
| 2:00.6 | They brought the wrath of the sea and they started to bear the Mariners mark. |
