For some women, the inability to have a child is a fate worse than death.

On October 6, 2011, a woman desperate for a child, a son, would do something truly horrible in the

quest to start a family with her boyfriend.

So if you like your coffee hot, but your bones chilled, sit back and start your day with a

morning cup of murder.

Annette Morales Rodriguez, 34-year-old mother of three from Milwaukee, was desperate to give

her boyfriend the son he always wanted. But for whatever reason, according to Annette, she could

not stay pregnant. And by 2011, had already faked two miscarriages and was in the process of faking a third pregnancy.

She didn't have the heart to tell her boyfriend a third time that she had lost their baby

and thought that if this kept up, her lies would eventually catch up to her.

So she came up with a plan.

And this plan didn't involve coming clean.

Instead, it involved trolling the streets for two weeks,

looking for a pregnant woman she could abduct and attempt to pass the baby off as her own.

And on October 6, 2011, she found the perfect woman walking near a non-profit organization

that provided Hispanics

with social services. The woman was 23-year-old Martiza Ramirez Cruz, whose family had moved

to Wisconsin from Puerto Rico just two years before, was also a mother of three, and was
