But what has me most concerned is something John Morosi reported yesterday that, you know, hit a nerve.

And that is, and I'm paraphrasing, but Morosi was talking about Alex Bregman and Pete Alonzo and how the Red Sox are in on both of those players,

and he was handicapping their odds for a successful offseason. And he said something to the

effect of if they could sign one of those two guys and a pitcher that would be a successful

off season. And I heard that and said, one of those two? One. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

They need two. Because they lost Bregman, they have to replace Bregman and add one. They don't

get to count Bregman coming back as a bat. That is no good. They weren't good enough at the end of the year, and I know Roman Anthony was out.

They were still short in the lineup.

Even with Roman Anthony in there in the second half of the season, as Alex Gora recently pointed out,

their offense was different, and they hit fewer home runs in the second half.
