0:11.9	Several years ago, when we first began the Enjoying the Journey broadcast, we started with my favorite book of the Bible.
0:19.0	I've adopted it really is my life's study on the book of
0:22.3	Philippians. And the theme, of course, of that great book is the joy of the Lord Jesus Christ.
0:28.0	Truly, it is the Bible treaties on what it means to enjoy the journey. Now we're thrilled to share
0:35.5	this anniversary series with you again in the hopes that God will use it in your life to help you learn to enjoy the Lord Jesus Christ at whatever stage you happen to be on on life's journey.

1:01.6	Life is about influence. Someone is going to influence you and frankly you're going to influence
1:07.8	somebody else. I remember years ago Charlie Tremendous Jones saying that you'll be the same person five years
1:14.2	from now as you are today, except for two things, the books you read and the people you meet.
1:19.4	In a sense, what he was saying is somebody is going to influence you.
1:22.3	They may influence you through their writings or they may influence you through your relationship
1:26.7	with them, but the people
1:29.0	who influence your life are shaping your life. We've come in our study in Philippians chapter 3 to
1:36.4	verse number 17, where the apostle Paul says, brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walks so as you have us for an ensemble.
1:47.9	And then he gives a parenthesis in verse 18 and verse 19, and I would remind you that even God's
1:53.0	parentheses are inspired.
1:55.0	Listen to this parenthetical statement, for many walk of whom I have told you often and now tell you even weeping that they
2:03.0	are the enemies of the cross of Christ, whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly,
2:09.7	and whose glory is in their shame who mind earthly things. Now, there's a lot of substance in
