Welcome to Marriage of Martinez, I'm Danielle, Adam is not here for me during the introduction, but he was here during this episode.

And I was really happy about that because this topic is one that really affects us also.

We talk to Vanessa and Zander Marin, who are, well Vanessa is a licensed sex therapist and psychotherapist with 20 years of experience in the sex therapy field.

And Zander, her husband, is what he refers to himself as just a regular dude who's been married to a sex therapist for over a decade.

And the two of them together are running this business to help take the intimidation out of getting intimate.

So talking to them was really awesome because first of all they're a married couple who work together, just like Adam and I, so that was kind of cool.

And also rarely do we get to talk to other couples who are as open about sex as we are, and they blow us away when it comes to their openness, which is amazing.

And we had some questions that I know are relatable for all of you, but that really affect us because communication about sex is just hard.

I think we don't grow up learning about it in a way that's comfortable.

So I think that really affects us and how we communicate about intimacy and sex kind of for the rest of our lives.

And I know now I think it's getting a little bit better, but it still is hard.

So this was an awesome episode. We talk about everything from faking orgasms to first time orgasms to dirty talk in the bedroom and why it's so hard for so many of us to Vanessa and Zander talk a little bit about personal stuff for them, even we go into about their decision to not have kids and how that sort of has affected them.

And they really are doing an amazing job talking about that and, you know, normalizing that having a family doesn't mean that you have to have kids.
