So I've got a few questions for you. Just want you to ponder with me if you would. What are we to do with the desires of our hearts? Some say we're supposed to crucify them. Others say we'll follow them. What are you supposed to do

with the desires that seem good? And how about those ones that don't seem so good, those unwanted

longings? Do you shove them into the basement of your soul? Do you admit them? What are you supposed to do?

What does the Bible say? How does God feel about our desires? And how do we discern if our

longings are from him or from the enemy? Dr. A. J. Spoboda joins me today to talk about his new book, The Gift of Thorns, Jesus, the flesh, and the war for our wants.
