I thought this was a really good closing statement in what seems to be David Simon's argument about you know what's what's what's wrong

but what's what going on today with policing in America which is a for God's

sake can we in the war on drugs can we even talk about it

you know why is this the third you know rail of American politics so to speak and

and I thought it was extremely effective at showing, you know, the cycles, how they're

perpetuating, how they're never going to change, how the, it's not necessarily racist cops although those definitely antagonize the issue it's

not necessarily you know corrupt politicians although they have a vested interest in keeping a system you know, corrupt politicians, although they have a vested interest in keeping a system, you know, going.

It's kind of all of our fault, you know, that we're getting the system that we want and look at the horrifying results of this

system you know that that things like Freddie Gray are not a tragic mistake

they're an inevitable side effect of the system that we've created.

And, you know, like the thing is like, the art of this episode, I mean, there's extensive use of black title cards to just tell you know like it there

there's a lot of I felt like that this is felt like David Simon kind of like a Nicole Steele position of like it's your turn motherfucker like I'm tired of talking about this.

I could do there's like two additional episodes worth of development and information

with behind each of these black title cards, but fuck it, you figure it out.
