Summary

We’re saying goodbye to CDs in the spring of 2026 and going fully digital. That means longer storylines for your favorite characters. Less waiting between multi-part stories. More flexibility for fun, one-off episodes. But what about downloads? Will there still be 24 new episodes a year? Executive producer Dave Arnold and showrunner Marshal Younger join producer Bob Smithouser to answer questions about the transition.

0:19.9	Coming up on the podcast, we're talking to a couple of heavy hitters, Dave Arnold and Marshall Younger.
0:24.6	That's certain to be a home run. But first, here's the latest news.
0:32.6	Album 79, 11th hour releases in the club this summer. It's coming to download in September and to CD and radio in October.
0:41.0	That sounds pretty normal for an album release, Bob.
0:44.5	So what makes it news?
0:45.7	Yep, that's our usual release schedule.
0:47.6	But the news is change is coming with album number 80.
0:51.3	What's that?
0:52.0	Album 80 releases late this year in a club in early
0:55.1	2026 to CD and download and here's the change Jess. Album 80 will be the
0:59.9	last one available on CD. So no more CDs after number 80. After that new
1:05.7	episodes will be club exclusive. We're going fully digital. It's taking
1:09.5	adventure to the next level. Wow, but will
1:12.2	the stories change? What about the downloads? Will there still be 24 new episodes every year?
1:17.0	Well, we knew there'd be a lot of questions about this change, so that's why I invited
1:20.7	Dave and Marshall to join me in the studio to share some answers. I can't wait to hear this.
