All across not only the Western world but the worst world in general at the center of Christian spirituality is an

invocative image of the cross

But over the centuries the image has become far too sentimental

It's been turned into an architectural feature or a church logo or an item of jewelry

That is not a passive aggressive dig at any of you wearing across right now

Apparently in particular if you're a dude a cross earring is very on trend right now
