Now, ultimately, as jazz supervisors, we want to be able to play what we're hearing in our head.

That's like really the goal. But that doesn't come naturally to everybody. Certainly does not come

naturally to me. And ear training fundamentals such as recognition, are ways that we can work out our

ears. Help us become more critical listeners. Help us know what we're actually hearing. So this is a

great skill to have ear training is something that everybody should do a little bit of. And so we're

going to see how well you do and see if you need to be doing a little bit more of it.
