When my niece was eight years old, I sat in the sun with her,

and I let her guide me through a yoga meditation.

Today we are going to find our inner zen.

Find a comfortable criss-cross position, and let's begin.

I watched her reach for the sky and perform her class with such ease.

No inhibition.

It was the most beautiful thing to watch a child completely unafraid of what others think.

When it starts getting a bit quieter, it'll help you empty your mind.

And exploring something, right, just because they're curious about it.

Or it makes them feel alive.

Yes, and watching her, I was craving that childlike feeling again for myself.

You know, that wonder and that rare confidence that I could do anything.

And honestly, Hanah, that's what this dude became for me, a place that made a space for that.

It really nurtured that feeling.

Mm-hmm.

Yeah, I mean, we've always talked about how we wanted the stoop to be a place where we could create the stories we want to hear, the things that we are curious about, right?

Yeah, and something else started to emerge from the stoop that I really didn't even expect.

What's that?

This open space really encouraged me to share some things about myself that I never really discussed before.

Both of us have gone really, really deep.
