These verses are the ending of Surat Shura and Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala in this beautiful Surah as we heard

had made mention of or has made mention of the importance of consultation

and how important it is to seek the council of others and their opinions and so on. We learn

of lesson although the verses were revealed to Muhammad salallahu alayhi wa sallam. Obviously they

are for us and they are for us to take heed and to draw lesson from. This verse that we started with

Allah says, istadjibu ni Rabbiqom, respond to your Lord. When your Lord has asked you to do something

respond to him, when your Lord has asked you to stay away from something, stay away from it

because that is how you will achieve goodness and that is how you will be able to achieve the

pleasure of the Almighty and this is how you will be happy and this is how you will achieve success

of this world and the next. Everyone who is trying to achieve success through means that are contrary to

those that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has permitted will never be able to achieve goodness, will never

be able to achieve success or contentment. Even if in the short term they may feel that they

have achieved something long term they would not have. May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala grant us an

understanding, may he make it easy for us to respond to him. So Allah says, istadjibu ni Rabbiqom,

answer your Lord, respond to your Lord min qabli ayyati ayahu mud before a certain day comes.

What is the day? La maradda la hum min Allah, a day that will come

in which there will be no repelling from Allah.

Respond to your Lord before a day comes from Allah of which there is no repelling.

You are not going to be able to do anything about it, it will come and you will have to go through

that. There will be accounts and all your deeds will be brought to account. And at the same time

you and I will have to answer for everything and we will not be able to run away. There's no way
