We're talking about the Auburn Tigers with first time on the podcast for Peter Radicus, joining us here from AL.com.

So this is my question.

Coming into this season, is this a fair statement?

It's not going to be enough for Auburn to be back in a bowl this year.

It's not going to be enough to win eight or nine games.

With the way that program has expectations,

they expect to contend for the college football playoff this year.

Is that fair?

Yeah, I think that's definitely the hope, you know, but at the same time, it's one of those.

I think right now the biggest thing is there just needs to be progress.

I think that's what people are looking for.

And, you know, right now, I mean, you're right, progress doesn't really mean much given what

the last two seasons have been.

So I think, you know, people are looking for more than, you know,

six, seven wins, just getting back to a bowl game.

But at the same time, I don't know quite how realistic, you know,

say a championship or competing for SEC or college football playoff is next season.

But I do still think that that is the hope and somewhat of an expectation, even though I don't think it's necessarily make a break for this year's team.

So with that being said, you know as well as I do, it's going to start at the quarterback position for Auburn.
