Nick, I've been doing some sort of version of this podcast for a long time, like over a decade.

And I have never been able to ask this kind of

questions about Alabama, because there are questions about Alabama for the first time in

my media career. So let's just start at the top with, you know, what is the general mood

in Tuscaloosa right now and about this football program? Are they

excited about the future under Kalin-Dabor? Is there a worry that the dynasty is officially

about to start seeing some cracks? I mean, I think, well, first of all, things are having

me on. And I think, you know, past the initial panic of that January 10th and that immediate

aftermath of Saban's retirement, I do think, you know, past the initial panic of that January 10th in that immediate aftermath

of Sabin's retirement, I do think, you know, things have kind of cooled. I think, I don't

think anyone I've talked to thinks that Kalen can replicate what Saban did. I just don't think

that's fair to him. I think that's fair to Saban and what the great run he had. That being said, I do think there are expectations here because, you know, yes, Alabama had lost a lot from its roster. They still had a pretty decent roster. And, you know, there's the growth of, you know, Jalen Milrow, some of the underwater receivers that you want to see continue. And know you bring a guy with a great offensive mind

and yes Ryan Grubb did leave but you know Kalen DeBoer wasn't hired because he was going to bring

Ryan Grub over he was hired because he's Kalin DeBoar and on the defensive side you know a lot of

people are excited to see what Kane Walmat Walmat can bring from South Alabama kind of similar

425 a little bit with some different variations on the position
