Is that a fair assessment of your situation?

I think that's fair, Brian.

You're exactly right.

And I freely admit I'm old and getting older, but that's okay.

But thank you for having me and appreciate you taking time to visit.

So I don't assume that you just showed up to work last Monday, and they said, hey, you're the interim athletic director.

I assume there was a process and all of that.

Just sort of talk us through the timeline and the decision behind you becoming interim athletic director.

Well, you know, as a matter of fact, it just happened exactly like that.

I was actually at the doctor's office early Monday. Dr. Keenham's

office called. They told me Dr. Keenham wanted to see me. And early, you know, about 9 o'clock, I was

over visiting with Dr. Keenum. And we talked about John Cohen and the decision he had made that he

was headed to Auburn, and Dr. Keenom asked me if I would be willing to serve in an interim AD capacity

during this time, and I told him I would, and we've just kind of taken off from there.

Was that a difficult decision for you?

No, not at all. Not at all.
