For each of the last 27 years,

Jake Mangum has been getting ready to be a Mississippi State Bulldog

during this time of the year. But after 27 seasons in Starkville, he's got something

else on his mind. Jake, what's up, man?

What's going on? How you doing? Did it feel like 27 years to you?

It felt like a long time, but, you, but four years was enough, and it's time for the next

group of guys to kind of take the lead of the team.

Is it a little strange for you, given that you were a four-year player and all the success

that you had at Mississippi State, be sitting here, you know,

with the calendar about to turn from January to February, so close to the start of the college

baseball season, to not be a part of that?
