Glad to welcome to the podcast for the first time ever. The legendary, that's a cool name to that, cool adjective to get to use about somebody. The legendary Dave Neal from ESPN. You got something to say about that? You're not going to argue with that, are you? Well, I don't know. Legendary. How about long time? I probably feel more comfortable with that. But I can't believe it's, first of all, I can't believe it's the first time I've been on your show. I mean, I, this is crazy to me. Well, I mean, you know, I saw that you recall in the game this week. I got to tell you a story, though, actually. So I work with Richard Cross, who, you know, ESPN. I texted him last week. I was like, who's calling State Tennessee? And he sends back Taylor Zarser, Matt Stinchcom, and I forget who their side line person is. So I text Matt, and I'm like, hey, I hear you're calling the game. Can you please come on the podcast? And he just texts back, hey, I'd love to, but I'm not calling the game. I'm doing Vanderbilt. And so I just said back, I was like, this is what I get for trusting an Ole Miss person. See, that's exactly right. Richard just lets you down. Let me down. Again. He gave me your number, so I guess he made up for it in some way. Yeah, I'm excited. Go back, back to back weeks. Well, that's what I want to start with. Before we get into this game, you've been on the call for a lot of big Mississippi State moments through the years.

And from a baseball perspective, you had Elijah McNamee's home run down at Florida State, which is one of the all-time moments in MSU baseball. Did I leave anything out? Is there a Mississippi State moment that stands out for you? Yeah, let me tell you why. It go back to 1998, the first game that I ever broadcast for Jefferson Pilot Sports was a doubleheader.

2:35.6

They did it twice during the year.

2:37.4

They would split the audience and half the audience would get one game, half the audience would get the other game.

2:42.2

Well, I was working at Fox Sports South at the time, and they had doubleheader split telecast.

2:48.1

And so they said, hey, you want to do this game?

And in 1998, it was Alabama at Mississippicast. And so they said, hey, you want to do this game? And in 1998, it was Alabama
