I'm Brian Hayden, and I'm joined by one of my favorite guys to talk to across the SEC, Cole Kublich.

A guy who I know without a doubt knows a lot more about football than me.

That's why I like talking to him, so I can learn something here today. You were high on MSU a season ago about football than me. That's why I like talking to them so I can learn something here today.

You were high on MSU a season ago in the off season, and it paid off. They were better than a lot of people thought they were going to be. Same thing this year. When we talked to you at many days, you're like, I like this team. I think they're going to be pretty good. And here they are ranked 16th in the country. watching them, what's impressed you about Mississippi State this year?

I think there in the country. Watching them, what's impressed you about Mississippi State this year?

I think just the command of the offense, you know, Will just looks even a little bit more

comfortable than last year.

And some of that is ad lib, you know, doing things on his own.

But where to get the football, how to get the football out. And I do think they've added

a few things. They've added a couple of wrinkles in the run game. I think up front, there's a

comfort level on that offensive line of being okay, being more physical. There's a little bit

of a desire to come off the ball occasionally. And I think probably what it is, it's just they understand that they're getting lighter boxed and like, hey, we're going to be able to ride double teams and this can be fun. And they welcome it, especially Cam Jones, Cole Smith. Like, I think they are just, they brought a little bit different attitude this year, it feels like, on the right side of that offensive line.

So it's, it's been fun to watch, man.

Like I don't think that there is, and I don't know if last year it was feeling like you had to deliver the ball to certain receivers all the time.

But it did feel like that it was controlled a little bit more by one to three guys.

And I mean, you got a laundry list of guys this year that they can seemingly have a big game any day, any week. So, you know, defensively, just more guys and more experience. And I mean, the defense, you know what you're going to get. They're going to be physical. They're going to attack, which, you know, at times are going to put them in a bad spot because that's just the aggressive nature of what they

are.

Like, you go back to A&M game. Like, you're going to get some cutback runs that hit with a dynamic running back. Like, you just are, especially that's good at that. But, I mean, they're going to be, they're going to over pursue at times. They're going to be overly aggressive at times. They're not going to be super sound on every snap because the opposite of that is why they win a lot of reps.
