Hi everybody, this is God Sad. It has been three weeks and one day since this beauty was released into the world on May 10th.

And the reception so far has been absolutely incredible. It was instant number one on Audible. It was instant number one,

the Globe and Mail, both categories, hardcover and combined category, meaning hardcover and

ebooks at Globe and Mail, which is super Walk in Canada, number one, Toronto Star Instant,

number one publishers weekly, instant, and perhaps most prestigiously, instant, number one,

New York Times bestseller, both in the hardcover nonfiction category and the combined nonfiction category.

And last week it remained on all of the bestseller lists and now we'll see this week what happens.

But all indications are that the same pattern will repeat.

So globally from any possible perspective, any metric.

It's about as good as it could be number one in everything everywhere.

And that's great.

I've received tons of wonderful emails from people and so on.

But today what I'd like to do, which maybe I shouldn't be doing,

is spend some time on some of the unhinged vitriol that I have received,

oftentimes coming from sources in academia.

Because now this is something that they simply can't bear to stomach, right?

Because that which they certainly can't do, right?

As long as they can write in their peer

review journal to six people and engage in the proverbial i don't like the term but circle jerk

then everything is good but now when this guy that doesn't meet you know know, their style of, you know, liberal, progressive

Lisp, I don't cross my legs in the effeminate way that they do, that really triggers their

ire. And so I've been seeing some unbelievable nastiness coming my way.
