And today we're talking about the publisher and bookseller Sylvia Beach.

First of all, I just wanted to make a quick note.

As you may or may not know, the episode that we had meant to release today was on the

1996 film, The Birdcage. We've had some unfortunate technical difficulties there and we're

going to have to re-record that episode, but we will still be releasing it in the future.

What we have for you today instead is an expanded version of what we had intended to be a

mini episode originally.

I'm very sorry for the unexpected change in schedule there, and I hope you enjoy hearing

a little bit about Sylvia Beach instead today.

We have some content warnings for this episode, but not too many for once.

Like, not too many, but they're like

pretty intense individually. Okay. So first of all, uh, you know, once again, we have the

Nazis in this episode. Only towards the end, you know, it's just mostly in a kind of general

background sense. It's not going to get too hairy for Sylvia personally.
