It's the Sound of Young America. I'm Jesse Thorne, we're at South by Southwest in Austin,

Texas, where the new documentary American The Bill Hicks story is playing. If you're not familiar

with Bill Hicks, I would say, you know, we interview a lot of Senate comedians here on the show.

And I guess that if you took a poll of what comedian was most influential in

their lives, Bill Hicks would probably come out on top. Hicks was scathing and intense and

hilarious and unfortunately he died two young in 1990s. My guests on the show are one of the directors

of the film Matt Harlock and Bill's brother Steve Hicks. Before I talk to them, let's hear a clip

of one of Hicks' best known vets. It's Hicks talking about marketing. By the way, if anyone here

is an advertising or marketing, kill yourself. It's a little caught. I'm just trying to plant seeds.

Maybe one day they'll take root. I don't know. You try. You do what you can.
