This has been a grim time in American politics, but we're after last week we're going to put

on our hack hats here and step back into looking at the election, where we are, what some

of the awful developments we've had in our country in the last few weeks may do about it.

Are we on the same trajectory?

Will it change?

We're going to talk about all that.

But to do it, we reached into our old profile, not old profile, but our old profile of old

pros.

This is, I heard there's a contest for the most awkward introduction, so I'm making my

play with this chunky monster here.

We got a friend of ours, first time around the podcast, but a long time on the smart side

of the equation in American politics.
