Audio Depot. We always do rent-free on Wednesday, and something that's been living rent-free in my head this week, because I mentioned on Wednesday, was the Hal McCray rant, which happened on April 26, 1993, where he went nuts on the reporters after a game in April.

And, you know, through the phone, through recorders, one reporter got his face cut open. He's holding a bottle of vodka. He's berating

the reporters after they went out in the hallway. It's just insane. I couldn't imagine anything

like that happening, you know happening in this day and age.

And the guy kept his job throughout the season.

Yes, he still managed that team. Well, with that in mind, I'm a little surprised that you and Monty have not heard the Lee

Elia rant.

This happened in the same week, 43 years ago. Okay. April 28th, 1988, the Cubs were 7 and 12, I believe, or no, excuse me, four and 15 at the time. They got off to a really bad start, okay? It happens. It was the Cubs in the 80s. They weren't very good. This was before Ryan Sandberg really, you know, helped him take off. Well, Lee Ilya, former Phillies shortstop, bounced around the

minors as a coach and manager. Then he managed a handful of teams throughout his career, but he

had the Cubs job and the Cubs weren't good. And it's early in the year. And Wrigley is like, I don't know, the mecca for baseball now.

And it doesn't matter when the games are cold, hot. It's packed. There's like 40,000 people there. Rigleyville's hopping. It's a place to see and be seen, as a wise man once said. Well, it wasn't that way back in the 80s. there would be like a third of the park full maybe
