Today, we're sharing a conversation with Bill Hader, a multiple Emmy nominee this year for Barry, which is an awesome, weird, disturbing yet irresistible HBO show where he's an actor, director, writer, co-creator, and executive producer, freaking hustler, man.

Bill became popular on Saturday Night Live years ago with silly characters like Stefan. But Barry is more twisted and brilliant.

It's a great dark comedy about a hitman who wants to become an actor.

And yes, the premise ultimately works, especially when his two worlds collide.

In his conversation with the envelope host, Mark Olson, Bill brings both the fun and the

darkness.

He's pleasant and light, and he laughs when talking about some of the most disturbing things on his show, and there's a lot of disturbing things on that show.

Yet it's fun.

Congratulations on all the Emmy nominations for the third season of the show.

I'd imagine it must be particularly exciting for the show to have gotten so many kind of craft and behind-the-scenes nominations.

I mean, a comedy series being nominated for its stunt work feels kind of unusual.

Yeah, that's true.

Yeah, I was really happy about that.

He did a, he and his whole team did just an amazing job.

And then this season, it just felt so rich

in the way that it explored all the different characters

and even the style of the show seemed to develop.
