So right now there's no official mandate for my team about how many days we need to be back in the office. But it's clear

that things are changing, like maybe one is coming. And outside of LinkedIn, where

I work, tons of companies are starting to demand people return to that office.

UPS, IBM, J.P. Morgan Chase, to name a few.

And I'm going to tell you that it's felt vaguely disappointing to me, but I couldn't really pin down why.

Then I stumbled upon a post from Susie Welch in my LinkedIn feed.

Values have consequences, she wrote.

She went on to say, I think 2024 is the year where many of us are going to have to take a hard look at our values around career and lifestyle and make a decision.
