Turn with me in the scripture to Psalms 55.

Psalm 55. We've been on a topic for some weeks now called sustained.

Sustained.

And this is our text, our main text in Psalm 5522.

It says, cast your burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee.

Sustain.

What does sustain mean?

If you look up the word, it has to do with, these are other ways it's translated actually in the Bible, to keep, to nourish, to feed, to provide, to guide, to hold, to uphold.

What does it mean to be sustained?

We might say today, keep, he keeps me, and he takes care of me.

He holds on to me.

He continually supplies me, looks out for me, takes care of me.

When you're sustained of the Lord, like we shouted about last week, you're set for life.

Set for life.

Now, if you didn't hear that, you ought to get it.

She's in heaven now.

Really good cook.

And I don't mean, you know, there was no instant anything. She had never had a microwave.

And she'd start from scratch, you know, pans and flour, and skillets.

So she'd be cooking on something half a day.
