thrust into existence by random chance with no hints at all as to how we're supposed

to make sense of it all. It's immensely bizarre. Here we are.

Hello everybody and welcome to the here we are podcast. I'm very excited to do yet another

one health initiative episode if you're unfamiliar with one health because you're new to the

show don't you worry we're going to be talking a bit about that but just the general

just for any of you newcomers it's it's it's really just a organization that I believe

in but also I just think is really valuable for you guys the listeners to see how so many

different fields of research connect together in in ways that you wouldn't make the connection

on your own and and just seeing the the vast complexity that that goes into solving each

of life's problems and all of the stuff that science is doing that's running in the background

all of the time that that the public generally isn't privy to at all and so it's just been

a really fun cool insight into that world and today's guest is is especially involved

in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary work and thinking about things in this in this

way in terms of environment and sustainability and rural farming and and the many other topics

that we've talked about regarding the one health initiative in the past so I'm excited

to be talking from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville Dave Adder is joining me today
