Hello, I'm Greg Foote and welcome to the show that scrutinises the ads that promise us the world.

We are bombarded by wonder products claiming to make us happier, healthier and greener,

but are they really the best thing since sliced bread?

This week, the suggested wonder product comes from Maddie.

So I want to talk about genes, specifically sustainable or eco-greens.

You just did the air quotes things with your hands. Yeah, I did. And I do that because

I have picked up bits of information through the years which tell me that denim isn't very

sustainable. So when I'm buying denim, I'm always looking for sustainable jeans. And probably

because of that, I am bombarded on social media. But my question

is how? How can one pair of jeans be somehow more sustainable than another pair? Because

if you ask me, you put two pairs of jeans next to each other, they seem exactly the same.
