It's Wednesday, March 6th, and this is your Morning Wire afternoon update.

An attack today on a shipping vessel in the Gulf of Aidan caused fatalities, and many suspect

Yemen's hooty rebels are to blame.

Daily Wire reporter Tim Pierce has the latest.

Authorities say most of the crew was forced to abandon ship,

though the extent of the damage to the vessel remains unclear.

Officials say the attack on the ship, named true confidence, came after it had been addressed

by individuals claiming to be the Yemeni military via radio, something the Houthis have been

doing since their attacks began in November of last year.

U.S. officials told NBC News that the attack killed at least two sailors and injured half

a dozen others. The Hutis didn't immediately claim responsibility for the attack,

though it typically takes several hours for them to acknowledge an assault.

Despite more than a month and a half of US-led airstrikes, Huthi rebels have remained

capable of launching attacks such as this one.

In the wake of Super Tuesday, former South Carolina Governor Nicky Haley has ended her bid for

the White House.
