What we have for you today is breaking news in the case of the shooter, the shooting of the CEO,

Brian Thompson. At this time, a perpetrator has been grabbed in a McDonald's in Altona, Pennsylvania.

From a law enforcement source we received, the man being questioned was picked up in McDonald's

in Altona, Pennsylvania after an employee thought he resembled the man in the

NYPD's photos and called the cops. Multiple law enforcement officials briefed on the situation

told this to CNN. Altuna police responded to the call and picked up the man who they say is

26 years old and searched him.

In the search, they found a gun with a suppressor like the one that was used in the homicide and

multiple fake IDs, including one that the NYPD believes was used by the suspect in New York City.

The suspect was in possession of some documents that the investigators also want to examine

as potentially relating to motive through further details on the documents were not clear.

Altoona police are waiting for the NYPD detectives

who are currently in route to the location. So this, this is huge, huge news. As happens many

times in these investigations, we have to slow down, we have to listen, we have to see what they have

in this situation. The Altoona police will not question this suspect. They will wait for the

NYPD detectives to arrive on the scene. The only way they would question him is if he starts

running at the mouth, if he starts running at the mouth.

If he starts making admissions and confessions, then they would read him Miranda and they would

question him. Other than that, they will just detain him and await for the NYPD detectives
